EVA GILLIAM
Senior Visual Journalist & Editor

I am a senior visual journalist and editor with over two decades of experience shaping complex social, cultural, and humanitarian narratives across Africa and internationally. My work combines editorial judgment, ethical clarity, and short and long-form visual storytelling, developed through sustained engagement in post-conflict, development, and cultural contexts.
I have worked with international broadcasters and news organisations such as Associated Press, France24, and Reuters, United Nations agencies including UNICEF, WFP, and the FAO, producing films and multimedia work for global audiences. My practice spans short-form journalism and long-form documentary, with a consistent focus on narrative coherence, dignity, and context.
I am known for my ability to see the full architecture of a story — from concept and field production through editing and distribution — and to make clear editorial decisions under complex conditions. I work selectively, prioritising projects that require depth, trust, and sustained attention.
